The furling gennaker attaches to the bowsprit with the spinnaker halyard, which needs to be tight when bringing the sail in. The starboard deck has the fuel filler at the front and the holding tank upper outlet to the rear. Below, the water filler on the port side (v. stiff) The windows behind the mast are bordered by non-slip tape. The windows collect a lot of salt so need regular cleaning with fresh water and a soft sponge.

The left hand picture below shows the main halyard parked on the hand rail and the main sheet to the side deck. Both are tight enough to avoid slap.
The winch on the mast is for the genoa halyard, which does not go back to the cockpit, and for careful tightening of the spinnaker halyard. The pole up/down rope has two clutches - |

Anchor and Bowsprit
The bowsprit fastens with a pin to the deck (below) and forward of the roller as described above. It's a bit fiddly and to avoid dropping it overboard, use the attached cord to loosely secure it before you begin. |
